The project seeks to challenge existing prejudices and misconceptions about indigenous persons living with disability and draw attention to critical issues: racism, fetal alcohol syndrome, black diggers, stolen generation, limited access to services and the impacts of asbestos mining and atomic testing. Participants live with a wide range of disability experiences – acquired, congenital, sensory, psychological, intellectual, visible and invisible. A consultative and respectful approach throughout has ensured that participants’ dignity is upheld.
